Troubleshooting Common Problems

Saw won’t start? Check the power cord connection and ensure the blade is properly installed. Inspect the power switch; it might be faulty. Verify that the battery is charged (for cordless models).

Blade jams frequently? Inspect the blade for damage. Ensure it’s correctly installed and tightened securely. Overly thick material might be the cause; try using a finer-toothed blade or making smaller cuts.

Saw vibrates excessively? Tighten all screws and bolts. A loose blade is a common culprit. Check the alignment of the blade; a bent or misaligned blade creates intense vibration.

Saw runs slow or lacks power? For corded saws, check the power outlet. Cordless models might need a battery replacement or recharge. A clogged air filter (if applicable) reduces performance; clean it.

Blade breaks repeatedly? Use the correct blade type for the material you’re cutting. Avoid forcing the saw; let it cut smoothly. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.

Saw overheats? Allow the saw to cool down periodically during extended use. Use lubrication as needed, following manufacturer’s guidelines. Overloading the saw contributes to overheating; work at a slower pace.

Reciprocating action is weak? Examine the connecting rods and linkages for damage or wear. A malfunctioning motor (in extreme cases) might be responsible. Consult your owner’s manual or a qualified repair technician.
