Immediate Actions for Suspected Nabumetone Overdose

Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. This is the most critical step. Do not delay.

Providing Information to Emergency Services

Clearly explain the situation: Someone has ingested a potentially dangerous amount of nabumetone. Provide the person’s age, weight, and the approximate amount of nabumetone consumed. If possible, describe the nabumetone product (e. g., tablet strength, brand name). Mention any other medications or substances the person may have taken.

While Waiting for Help

Keep the person awake and talking, if possible. Monitor their breathing and pulse. If they become unconscious, check their airway and start CPR if trained. If they are vomiting, turn their head to the side to prevent choking. Note the time of ingestion and any symptoms (e. g., nausea, stomach pain, dizziness). Provide this information to first responders.

Do Not Induce Vomiting

Unless specifically instructed by medical professionals, do not induce vomiting. This could worsen the situation.
